I am pleased to report that after an entire year of waiting and hoping, the permission form for Snowdrop Street has finally been signed. This means that I can start the much-needed transformation. I’ll show you what I mean.
Plans have been put into motion to clear away the rubbish and to temporarily relocate the bins for my scissor lift, which we have booked.
I’ve returned to my original design and made consultations about the wording, which I want to be a simple pure line.
Plans are also being made for an end of project celebration for the residents of the Flower Streets and surrounding area. This will happen at some point in May, after the mural is finished. If you would like to come along, especially if you have connections to the streets or have been involved in some way, do send me a message and I can give you a save-the-date.
I am preparing some creative activities for children to do on the day, including this colour-in card made from the Snowdrop design.
It makes sense to be preparing for this at a time when we are all emerging from the winter, ready to greet the spring and welcome new beginnings.
I wish you all a very happy Easter.
Madeleine
